outdoor furniture wholesale , Proper Rattan Wicker Garden Furniture Care
The care needed to bestow upon garden furniture collection made from rattan wicker depends on the type of furniture you own. In most cases, the task is not so extensive, but it does require constant maintenance on a regular basis. Theres no room for laziness if you intend to save a large amount of money on maintenance and enjoy the collection for longer period.
Furnitures that contains at least a part that is made from glass, should first be wiped wiah a damp cloth to eliminate dirt. It is essential is the glass hasnt been cleaned in a while. Furnitures that consist of a frame or supporting material made from wood should also be wiped down as often as possible. For this purpose, you can use a damp cloth dipped in water or dipped in a safe cleaner. Be careful not to use too much water or it could mold or rot your wicker set. You can apply a web sponge to the surface as well, and either plain water or a mixture of ammonia & water mixed in proper proportions. Make sure you dry the water immediately after wiping or it will cloud and streak.
Rattan Wicker furniture can be cleaned with a garden hose most of the time, although some people doesnt believe it. The all weather rattan furniture is definitely acceptable to test that method. To help repair the pliable nature and moisture of each piece of garden furniture you own, place each unit in a bathtub full filled of warm water. This method can very much clean the furniture although you might need extra energy to move the furniture around a little.
However, keep in mind not every collection of rattan wicker is weather proofed. Therefore, be careful to take precautions as you clean it. For instance, do not leave let it sit in the sun for too long, especially if you know for sure it is UV-shielded or waterproofed.
Rattans (or similar wicker materials) that are not treated sometimes dry out very quickly. Therefore, it is very important keep any untreated pieces out of the sun when not in use. Likewise, try and keep them away from other heat sources also such as fire.
In addition to keeping it out of the sun, you should dust every piece regularly and vacuum your entire set often. This will further help you remove the dust out of the cracks. For metal furniture, usually a damp cloth with water is enough, just like the previous method, however you might do beter using a specific metal cleaner that you can purchase in your local furniture shop.
